Local adult theatre may serve booze?
THIS PROVINCE NEWS STORY says "The provincial government has approved a change that will allow movie theatres to apply for liquor licenses to serve drinks during flicks."
I wonder if these new rules would apply to Port Alberni's Capitol Theatre? Is it an adult theatre or is there a way to separate adult patrons from under-age patrons?

The adult age to drink in Canada is 19. IMO the obvious reasons we know when people drink makes this a bad decision. What will happen when a double feature is on or when a marathon weekend is on?
What if people go to the theater that already have been drinking? People will start sneaking alcohol into the theater now it's there, even if the alcohol is in a cup you buy the first one and, you have a cup. ID alone can pose problems. Who's responsibility is it if a person leaves a theater over the limit? I believe in pubs and bars either the bar tender or the owner is held responsible, if you have a accident and, they prove that's where you were. Groups of people could end up being a problem to other people watching the movie.
This happens sometimes and there has been no drinking aloud.
All these things will make it harder for the ushers, when people drink they tend to get louder and, smokers like to smoke. If it was just people who go to dinner, have a drink or two, go to the movies and home that would be great, but some how these good decisions usually end up causing the Tax payers money.
